Position Overview

The Senior Legal Officer will serve as the principal legal advisor to Titan Sharrcem, ensuring the company always operates within the law. This role involves providing strategic legal guidance to senior management, managing legal risk, and overseeing compliance with corporate policies and regulatory requirements. The position is pivotal in supporting the company’s operations and growth while safeguarding its legal and ethical integrity.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the primary legal advisor to the Country Manager and senior leadership, providing strategic counsel on a broad spectrum of legal and regulatory matters.
• Draft, review, and negotiate complex contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
• Ensure compliance with local, regional, and international laws and regulations relevant to the cement industry.
• Represent the company in legal proceedings, arbitrations, and negotiations.
• Monitor and manage legal risks, proposing proactive solutions to mitigate them.
• Collaborate with the HR Manager on employment law matters, internal policies, and employee relations.
• Liaise with external legal counsel and regulatory bodies as needed.
• Lead internal training and awareness initiatives on legal and compliance topics.
• Maintain and update the company’s legal documentation and records.

Qualifications & Experience

• A law degree (LLB) from an institution in Kosovo or abroad is required.
• An LL.M. (preferably in ICT law, international trade and business law, corporate and securities, finance & capital markets, energy law, competition law, or another business-related field) from an English-speaking university/program is required.
• Bar admission in Kosovo is required.  Bar admission in another jurisdiction is a plus.
• 7–10 years of legal experience, preferably as in-house lawyer of a corporation or in a law firm in Kosovo or abroad.
• Proven track record in drafting and negotiating a wide range of transactional documents (e.g., SPAs, NDAs, MOUs, Term Sheets, other contracts), corporate governance, commercial transactions, regulatory compliance, and litigation.
• Experience in the cement, construction, or heavy industry sectors is a strong advantage.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• High ethical standards and sound judgment.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of local languages is a plus.
