TITAN Sharrcem is seeking a Laboratory Technician to join its Quality Control Department. The role involves performing chemical tests and analyses required to support the effective operation and quality control activities of the department.

• Follow work instructions for sample preparation.
• Carry out tests with accuracy and precision.
• Be responsible for the results obtained from performed tests and for recording all data in logbooks.
• Take care of the cleaning, proper condition and periodic verification of equipment.
• Any loss of or damage to equipment is the responsibility of the shift worker, who is obligated to inform their supervisor.
• Perform sampling of auto-control samples.
• Perform interlaboratory chemical analysis.
• Prepare, test and record the testing results of samples for EUROCERT and IMS.
• Assist with the preparation of concrete mixes.
• Perform other duties as required for quality purposes.
• Carry out additional wet chemical analyses, based on quality control needs, for several materials such as alternative raw materials and/or the soluble chromium (VI) content of clinker and cement.
• Be responsible for the preparation of several chemical solutions and indicators required for carrying out classical methods in all laboratory sectors.

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Chemical Technology or a related field.
• Previous experience in a laboratory or quality control environment is preferred. Fresh graduates with relevant practical laboratory experience may also be considered.
• Good knowledge of laboratory testing, sample preparation and safe handling of chemicals and laboratory equipment.
• Good attention to detail, accuracy in recording results, and willingness to work in shifts.
